TyTek Industries:
A History of Seeing the Future of Manufacturing
TyTek Industries' roots are in the magnetics industry. In fact, it was TyTek's reputation as a superior manufacturer of a wide array of magnetic products and magnetic assemblies that led it into the manufacturing of zinc and aluminum diecastings, springs and stampings, injection molding and into sewn products as well.
Chris Tyler, TyTek's founder, was a trailblazer in seeing the enormous potential in utilizing qualified, proven, perfectly suited Chinese factories to engineer and manufacture high quality components and products, at pricing that cannot be matched anywhere in the world. He further understood that maintaining the highest quality American standards was only possible if there was direct supervision of all manufacturing in China by TyTek personnel fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
So, in addition to the TyTek Industries headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio, TyTek maintains a fully staffed office in Ningbo, China. Ningbo, across the bay from Shanghai, is situated in the very heart of China's finest manufacturing area. Our Ningbo staff, headed by Chuck Tyler, oversees every step of each product's development. Communicating in Mandarin Chinese, they visit and examine possible factories. Secure estimates. Monitor tooling and supervise all manufacturing and delivery. We are the only such American company with a full-time presence in China.
And because of the time differences, TyTek's key personnel are available virtually 24 hours a day. When we're sleeping in China, we're awake and working in the U.S. When it's sleep time in one place, we're up and working in the other. That extraordinarily high level of service was unknown before TyTek Industries was founded.
Chris Tyler was determined from the very start of TyTek Industries to prove that manufacturing in China means quality, price, great service and value. TyTek's fast growth demonstrates just how clear Chris Tyler's vision was.
